Helping others is easier than you think!

Join us to donate blood and support free blood donation as part of the Donate Blood with the Rector challenge! and the Faculty Challenge Roll Up Your Sleeve. Help a good cause starting Monday, 30 September.

Both regular donors and especially first-time donors– are most welcome. How can you sign up? By registering no later than 25 September at daruj@upol.cz; we will set up a day and time of your donation at your convenience, and answer any questions you may have about free blood and plasma donation. Besides the good feeling you get from helping others, you can look forward to a reward: a hearty breakfast and small gifts/souvenirs from UPoint and the University Hospital Olomouc. All you have to do is show your ISIC or UP employee card.

While the Donate Blood with the Rector event will traditionally last a week, you can contribute your blood to the imaginary battle of the faculties until 6 December. It is only necessary to fill in the form, which you will have confirmed after donating blood and then drop it into the collection box directly at the Transfusion Department of the University Hospital Olomouc or at a designated place in the building of your faculty. In the form it is necessary to indicate the faculty that the student or employee donor represents, as well as the volume of blood or blood plasma donated. Each participant has the chance to win one of the attractive prizes. We will draw from dozens of vouchers, for example for free admission to the theatre, laser game or sports and climbing centre. We are very grateful to all the partners who decided to support our event.

If you are not eligible, you will block another potential donor!
International students can also participate. However, they must be able to speak Czech and have insurance with a Czech health insurance company.

Donate Blood with the Rector is co-organised with the Transfusion Department of University Hospital Olomouc.
